Time for that
Some random snaps from the last days: trips to art centers, old shops and gardens of Paris are exciting especially when there is just no possibility to travel elsewhere (read: to Finland).

Bonjour
Good morning and day with these roses from Grez-Sur-Loing, is there anything more pittoresque than roses on the old walls in an old French village?

Lean on me
I have an exhibition in February in Kuopio and it really is starting to get close. I have almost all the materials ready, some things I want to add and develop before showing them.
It's a story of concept of homes and the concept of growth. I want to mix some documentary photos with more conceptual ones. Let's see how it goes.
This one is to me somehow supportive. Off to a new year 2015! I'm leaning on this, light shining through.

Descendant
Woolen clouds and mountains
Somehow all the handicrafts, wools and threads are very fascinating at the moment. I remember a summer in my grandparent's farm, when my aunt was colouring the wool with plants from the nature. She put them in the hot water and boiled them for hours. When my bigsister got married, she got a blanket made out of the self-coloured wool, woven by my other aunt. A real handmade gift.
It was a real country house with cows, I used to be afraid of the big bull. We took a road through the forest to reach to the summer cottage by the lake. It was the best road I've ever walked. I remember the little bridges made of branches we had to cross, and the big rocks to hide behind.

When Tim met Rose-Marie
I sure would like to live in a place where I can get some fresh rosemary straight out of the bushes and pick some thyme on the way. I kind of do since I have to check the english spelling when only french words come into my mind.

Rows came with soldiers
Searching, to combine colour and black and white, light materials and harder wood... Spirit of light. Hard subject on top.

Turning
I heard when this plant withers, it doesn't get dry but moist and smelly. The secret is how all the stages of flower's growth remain in the tree simultaneously. Interesting. I have a good friend who could surely answer this question. What a wonderful woman. And this tree too. Too bad the friend is much further than this tree, I'd rather have the other way.
In Iran there's a lot of magnolia trees. I have some new ideas from the colors of persian carpets. I asked my boyfriend that his family could surely send us one from Iran, because it is probably cheaper than here. The manufacturing is totally different from Finnish carpets and carpet machines (loom). But since the carpets probably can fly too, they will reach here quickly.
